WANT TO JOIN A GREAT FUN LEAGUE?

The Vancouver Island Lacrosse League is growing! We've expanded to include two more teams and are inclusive of almost every lacrosse area on Vancouver Island!

Our two new expansion teams are the Snuneymuxw Sun Devils based out of Nanaimo and the Oceanside Drillers from Parksville. If you are from these areas and are interested in playing, please contact Wil Johnny (wil_johnny@hotmail.com - Snuneymuxw Sun Devils) or Joshua Heyd (oceansideseniorlacrosse@gmail.com - Oceanside Drillers). If you were born in 2003 or earlier, we've got a team for you!

Now, not excluding other teams in the league... but if you live in the Cowichan area, there are two teams based out of the City of Totems! The Cowichan River Rats are managed by Dylan Dewarle (dylanbob16@shaw.ca) and the Cowichan Thunder is managed by Kevin Rothbauer (kevinrothbauer49@gmail.com). We have four (4) teams in the Victoria area (Aces, Blazers, Express and Jokers) each with marginal roster space and another team seeking more players to remain in the league.

If you are interested in playing in the Victoria area, please contact Ric Bains (ricbains@shaw.ca - Commissioner) as he will happily find you a roster spot. Most importantly... if you and a couple of buddies want to play together and aren't already in the league, Ric can put you all together on our 5th Victoria team!

Get gear out of moth balls *your significant others would probably enjoy that!
Pick up the tupperware and get out to the lacrosse box and bang out the cobwebs
Repeat trips to lacrosse box... repeat ice packs to quads, calves and shoulders <lol>
Drop a few pounds after getting some exercise with pick up scrimmages with buddies or chasing balls
Convince buddies to join! Enjoy the comradery! Resurrect some old rivalries ;)
Maybe even enjoy some wobbly-pops after a game at your teams' favourite watering hole!

Come on out and enjoy the fastest game on two feet! Now kids and ladies... when your boyfriends, husbands or Dad's are done and get home, you can watch them cramp up, curl up on the couch or kick back in their recliners and reminisce about their childhood and how they thought they could pick up right where they left off (10+ years ago!) <smile> Just kidding... NOPE, probably not!
