The Vancouver Island Lacrosse League has proudly hosted lacrosse competition in the South Vancouver Island area in many forms, dating back as far as the 1950s. We are a grassroots volunteer driven organization celebrating the great game of lacrosse, committed to preserving its place in our cultures and communities. Along the way our league has included founding cornerstone teams such as the Victoria Tugmen and Tillicum Tigers, later including teams such as the Luckies, Bobcats, Pylons, Buccaneers, Chiefs, and many others over the decades. In our current form, we host competition between (in order of seniority) the Victoria Jokers, the Victoria Blazers, the Wsanec Arrows, the Cowichan Rats, the Saanich Express, and the Westshore Aces - along with the new 2023 Cowichan Thunder, and the returning Victoria Firefighters. Teams compete in the BCLA "Senior C" division.
